Meet Your Instructor

I’m Carla Martins, a Raw Vegan Chef certified by Matthew Kenney Culinary and a Raw Food Educator trained by Drs. Karin and Rick Dina. My passion for raw foods began when I was 20, inspired by my mother, a nutritionist, who discovered raw foods while battling depression. She experienced a significant improvement in her mental health through dietary changes. Fascinated by the health benefits and the creative side of raw cuisine, I decided to shift my diet to primarily raw vegan. Almost immediately, I noticed the benefits in my own body: improved digestion, increased energy, deeper sleep, and healthier skin. This motivated me even more to experiment in the kitchen. Over time, people around me became curious about my way of eating, and a business started to take shape. For five years, I ran a raw vegan meal delivery service, and for three years, I taught at a culinary school. In 2012, I taught my first raw food cooking class and fell in love with helping others improve their health through fun and delicious creations. Today, I own a raw vegan dessert business in Miami and teach culinary classes both in person and online.
